a feeling of belonging, responsibility, and community involvement.
Philosophy
Freer Independent
School District believes that all students can learn and that we, as students, parents, teachers, and community, are responsible to help each student learn Furthermore, it is our shared belief that each individual
child has the right to attend school in a positive atmosphere which is conducive to learning. The purpose of the school is to provide an
educational program that meets the needs of interests of all students, and assures that all students acquire the necessary skills to
become productive members of society.
Goals of Freer Junior
High School
To encourage children to develop:
to
their potential, a respect for humanity and the environment, a sense of
self worth, independence and self motivation, a sense of belonging
to Freer Junior High School.
At Freer Junior High School, we promote the total all round development
of all children. We aim to provide a comprehensive, effective,
enjoyable and challenging educational experience that will equip our
students with the skills, knowledge and attitudes as well as the values
necessary to live and work as we move into the Twenty First Century.
Most people acknowledge that today's
children will be working in a world considerably different from what we
see today and vastly different from what we saw at their age. They will- - be working with Technology not yet invented.-need to be
flexible and undergo retraining for an envisaged 4-6 career changes. -
have far more recreation/leisure time.- have increased opportunities to
work overseas.- be part of an increasingly multi-cultural society.
